ABOUT THE CELLO
The Cello is one of the bass voices of the stringed instrument family which includes the violin, viola, cello and double bass. (The double bass is the lowest-pitched instrument of the orchestra, sounding an octave in pitch lower than the cello.) The cello’s proportions resemble those of the violin, except players hold its body between their legs and its weight is supported by an endpin that touches the floor. It has four strings, tuned an octave below those of the viola. The cello has a warm and rich "singing" quality of tone which is said to most resemble the human voice.

All of our Eastman student cellos are shop adjusted for consistency and easy playability. Eastman’s commitment to Old World hand-craftsmanship and quality is present in these entry level cellos. Our Eastman cello outfits have received praise from the most exacting critics of all: school teachers and private studio teachers. All String Season stringed instruments are set-up to meet or exceed MENC specifications using ebony pegs and fingerboards, fitted European maple bridges, Wittner tailpieces with four fine-tuners, and quality D'Addario Prelude steel strings. Our cellos are hand-crafted and include a heavy-duty padded nylon gig bag, a K. Holtz fiberglass bow with genuine horsehair and rosin. Our Eastman cellos offer an unparalleled quality of sound and playability, while maintaining the price of an entry level instrument.

The 12-Month Lease-to-Own Plan

ALL instruments are new at the beginning of your lease
One twelfth of the price of the instrument is automatically deducted from your credit card each month. After 12 payments you own the instrument that you are leasing.
You can cancel at any time simply by returning the instrument with no further obligation.
Origination fee* and damage protection** do not apply toward the purchase of the instrument.
You can avoid the origination fee by purchasing the instrument outright.
String Season & Band Season offers a discount of up to 45% off of the regular retail price for all instruments.

A one-time origination fee of $65 will be charged along with your first month's lease payment. This covers instrument set-up, lease set-up and financing. For participants in the Children's Music Workshop program, String Season will drop-off your instrument at your child's school prior to the beginning of the program. The origination fee is non-refundable.

Damage Protection :
You may choose to purchase damage protection for an additional $4/month. This covers any repair of damage which may occur to your instrument during the lease period, except for that which is determined by String Season to be caused by blatant negligence. Theft or loss of the instrument or bow is not covered under damage protection. Strings themselves are also not covered with this plan. Damage protection is non-refundable.

When leasing a Cello from us you will be charged a discounted flat-rate shipping fee of $50 that covers the shipment of the instrument to you. All instruments will be shipped to the address you provide via insured UPS or FedEx Ground.
